Animaniacs is an 2020 American animated slapstick comedy web television series by Warner Bros Animation and Amblin Television.
Why It Rocks[]
- It stays clearly faithful to the original series.
- Memorable soundtrack.
- The theme song is still catchy, but with modified lyrics and the jazzy-remixed version.
- Best animation for the early-2020s standards.
- Decent voice acting, with the original cast reprise their roles.
- It was more comical, cartoonier and a lot more slapsticky than the original.
- Likable characters, including Yakko, Wakko and Dot, especially Pinky and the Brain.
- The opening sequence is creative and well done, as a nice throwback to the original series' intro.
- Many funny moments, as well as tons of slapstick comedy moments.
- The character designs are done-well.
- The running gags are still very impressive.
- The songs are still great to listen.
- The comedy, the musical and the slapstick stays true to source material.
- Appealing backgrounds.
- Unique references.
- Memorable quotes are very faithful to the source material.
Bad Qualities[]
- Despite the introduction of HBO Max, it ended up on Hulu instead.
- Slappy, Skippy, Hello Nurse, Minerva Mink, Thaddeus Plotz, Buttons, Mindy, Rita, and Runt will not appear.
- Some moments can be overly preachy.
- Most adult humor can go to far especially the show is TV-7
- Some of the episodes are not to great.
- Most real life politics aren't appropriate.
- Sometimes the Animaniacs/The Amazing Three's perverted nature can get out of control.
- Chicken Boo is pondered as goes through an awful amount of getting torture presented in all of his appearances.
- Like most successful reboots the show lasted way too short, lasting only 3 seasons and 36 episodes.
Reception[]
Like the original series, this reboot received mostly positive reviews, became one of three most-watched Warner Bros. animated streaming programs, the others are Looney Tunes Cartoons and Jellystone!.
