Black Panther is an American motion comic and television series by Marvel Knights Animation, based on the popular Marvel Comics superhero of the same name.
Why It Rocks[]
- Beautiful art style that looks as if it was lifted directly from the comic books.
- It faifthfully adapts the "Who Is The Black Panther?" story arc from the 2005 run of the comic, with small changes such as the inclusion of Storm and the X-Men, and Juggernaut replacing Rhino.
- Djimon Hounsou perfectly portrays T'Challa. In fact, the whole cast (Save for Captain America) does a great job voicing the characters.
- It isn't afraid to delve into serious subjects and has a great tone throughout.
- Stan Lee makes a guest appearance by voicing General Wallace.
- Awesome theme song.
- The action scenes are really cool despite the limited animation.
- Klaw is a convincing villian.
- While the show does take itself seriously most of the time, it can be funny at times. For example, "I'm the Juggernaut, punk!", "There's a man on a flying horse", etc.
Bad Qualities[]
- While it is nice to see Storm and the X-Men, they don't really do much, and the X-Men in particular only appear in a few short scenes with Storm not getting much focus.
- Captain America's voice actor does a bad job and doesn't fit the character.
- Lots of missed potential, since it ended after 6 episodes.
- The animation, since this is a motion comic, is rather limited.
