Black Panther is an American motion comic and television series by Marvel Knights Animation, based on the popular Marvel Comics superhero of the same name.

Why It Rocks[]

  1. Beautiful art style that looks as if it was lifted directly from the comic books.
  2. It faifthfully adapts the "Who Is The Black Panther?" story arc from the 2005 run of the comic, with small changes such as the inclusion of Storm and the X-Men, and Juggernaut replacing Rhino.
  3. Djimon Hounsou perfectly portrays T'Challa. In fact, the whole cast (Save for Captain America) does a great job voicing the characters.
  4. It isn't afraid to delve into serious subjects and has a great tone throughout.
  5. Stan Lee makes a guest appearance by voicing General Wallace.
  6. Awesome theme song.
  7. The action scenes are really cool despite the limited animation.
  8. Klaw is a convincing villian.
  9. While the show does take itself seriously most of the time, it can be funny at times. For example, "I'm the Juggernaut, punk!", "There's a man on a flying horse", etc.

Bad Qualities[]

  1. While it is nice to see Storm and the X-Men, they don't really do much, and the X-Men in particular only appear in a few short scenes with Storm not getting much focus.
  2. Captain America's voice actor does a bad job and doesn't fit the character.
  3. Lots of missed potential, since it ended after 6 episodes.
  4. The animation, since this is a motion comic, is rather limited.
