Phineas and Ferb is a Disney series that has run from 2007 to 2015, with a revival premiered in June of 2025.
Plot[]
Phineas and Ferb spend their summer by building a roller coaster, finding a mummy and discovering something that doesn't exist, while their sister Candace repeatedly tries to bust them.
Why It’s Gonna Do It All[]
- Awesome theme song.
- Promotes creativity with all of the interesting creations made in the show.
- Very likable and relatable characters.
- Phineas and Ferb themselves are the young inventors; Phineas is the optimistic one and Ferb is the mysterious, quiet one.
- Candace is the high strung sister who has an obsession with busting the boys, though she shows signs that really does care about them.
- Isabella is the cute little girl who has a secret crush on Phineas, and her catchphrase "Whatcha doin?" is cute and memorable.
- Perry the Platypus is an awesome character, and his "Agent P" theme song is incredibly catchy.
- Doofenshmirtz is a hilarious antagonist, but also has good intentions like caring for his daughter and even has an F in evil.
- Baljeet is the studious nerd who loves math.
- Buford is a bully with a surprisingly good heart.
- The episodes have 2 plots in one (one involving Phineas and Ferb, and the other involving Perry the Platypus).
- A lot of action going on.
- Awesome musical numbers.
- Excellent and great animation that improves with each season.
- The voice acting is great, especially Vincent Martella, Ashley Tisdale, Alyson Stoner, and Dan Povenmire.
- There are tons of hilarious and creative running gags.
- Doofenshmirtz saying "Curse you, Perry the Platypus!" almost every time he’s been defeated.
- Candace trying to get her brothers busted and always failing.
- Someone saying "Hey, where's Perry?", then cutting to Perry going to his secret spy organization.
- Dooofenshmirtz’s "-inators" always failing because of Agent P.
- Phineas and Ferb’s activities always disappearing because of Doofenshmirtz and Agent P’s side of the story.
- Doofenshmirtz having a back story for each of his "-inators".
- A woman saying “Do you think (blank) is just gonna fall from the sky, and then one of their inventions falls from the sky.
- The show spawned a TV-movie “Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension” and a Disney+ original movie “Phineas and Ferb: Candace Against the Universe”, which are very enjoyable to watch and stay true to the series.
- There is an upcoming revival with two seasons which will be released, starting in 2024.
- Unlike another Disney show, this one revolves around a formulaic plot that surprisingly manages to be well executed.

- The series even had a crossover with both Marvel and Star Wars. How awesome was that?!
- The series also had a decent spin-off titled "Take Two with Phineas and Ferb", which had Phineas and Ferb talk to live actors, even though the animation (depending on your opinion) isn’t as great as the original series.
Bad Qualities[]
- "Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!", "Candace Gets Busted" (which was a sour way to end season 2) and "Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown Hosted by Kelly Ousbourne" (mostly due to the flash animation) are the worst episodes of the series.
- Also, "Interview with a Platypus" (depending on your view), "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo", "Nerds of a Feather" and "She's the Mayor" can be considered mediocre at best and average or pretty bad at worst.
- I, Brobot is considered to be a bad episode, due to how scary the Brobots (Phinedroids and Ferbots) look even the Candroid in the credits, Hell it can even give kids nightmares.
- Suzy and Doofenshmirtz’s parents are the only truly hateable characters in the show.
- Some of the songs are not good, though fortunately there aren't any terrible or even bad songs in the show, just some that are mediocre.
- Although the animation is amazing, Season 1’s animation can look uncanny at times due to the amount of freedom it had (especially in The Ballad of Badbeard).
- The pacing is not the greatest here (each joke and event goes by too fast for you to think).
- Sometimes Phineas may get mad at people, which is very out of character for him. He yells at Ben Baxter in Flop Starz although, it was part of the plan (his Diva Tantrum thing) He screams GET ON THE TRIKE!!! at Candace in Phineas and Ferb Summer Belongs to You (although it’s justified because Candace was too stubborn to cooperate), he gets mad at Perry for not revealing his secret in Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension, and he yells at Candace for turning Baljeet into Hulk and throws her outta S.H.E.D..

- Dan Povenmire and Jeff Swampy Marsh had previously pitched the idea for the show to Nickelodeon, however, it was rejected by Nickelodeon's top brass.
- This is the longest Disney show that is not on Disney Junior, having run for eight years, a record formerly held by Kim Possible.
- Due to the fact that Mitchel Musso on October 17, 2011, was arrested for driving at high speed and under the influence of alcohol, he received harsh sanctions from Disney, being fired from Pair of Kings, that the PrankStars program where he was a driver was canceled, and that his Phineas and Ferb character, Jeremy had less prominence or appearances from the third season.
- During 2011, the rumor circulated on social networks that Disney had canceled the program after the chapter The Roller Coaster the Musical, some time later several users, including Dan Povenmire, clarified that this rumor was false, however many users ended up believing that information.
- Due to the success of the first two seasons, between 2010 and 2012, around various DeviantArt users created different Phineas and Ferb fanfiction cartoons and comics.
- From their launch in 2010 to 2016, these cartoons enjoyed great popularity and affection among the Latinx community, serving as a catalyst for many users to become fans. However, other Phineas and Ferb fans, especially in the United States and Europe, questioned their existence due to the quality of the drawings, the story they depicted, the plagiarism of several elements from other Disney series such as Hannah Montana, and the fact that these works ignored or contradicted the storylines of the third season, the fourth season, and the film.
- The work of these users was reflected in several cartoons, but the comics stood out among all of them, these being:
- La Pajamada where Phineas and Ferb as teenagers have a pajama party, where Isabela kisses Phineas
- La Boda Imposible where Phineas becomes Isabela's boyfriend while they prepare Candace's wedding with Jeremy, and they must face Susy who wants to ruin the wedding.
- Chaos in Time where Phineas and Isabela's daughter named Marie travels back in time, causing a paradox that causes a change in the Future and now with the help of Thomas, the son of Ferb and Vanesa, she must repair the future.
- Listen to your heart where Phineas is reunited with a friend from the past and due to a misunderstanding Isabela still competes against her for the love of Phineas.
- The Plan where Isabela along with her cousin seeks to make Phineas jealous.
- The love triangle, with Marie (Phineas and Ferb's daughter) competing with a new girl for Thomas's (Ferb and Vanessa's son) affection.
- The school party, with Marie and her friends planning to throw a party at school.
- Currently, the fanfiction "Chaos in Time" and and “Listen to Your Heart” are unfinished or have no ending at the moment, while The School Party and The Love Triangle were lost, due to the creator deleting them from their accounts.
- Thanks to this fanfiction, a ship of Marie and Thomas the children of Phineas and Ferb, was presented, which was also very popular from 2011 until 2016.
- The main creator of this ship was the user Angelus19, who initially gained the support of several users who were fans of the show, however later gained many detractors because he did not respect the tastes of others, ignoring criticism and blocking several users who did not like the ship of Marie and Thomas, some users even claimed that Angelus19 he had a strong ego, since he proclaimed himself a better cartoonist than Dan Povenmire himself, in the same way he strongly criticized the third season, and unsuccessfully tried to have his characters placed on the official page of the show or the official wiki of Phineas and Ferb.
- Currently this couple is forgotten within the Latin American Phineas and Ferb fandom, at the same time that it has gained strong detractors due to the behavior of its creator, the user Angelus19, who in 2015 before the premiere of the episode "Act Your Age" had frequently spammed so that no one would miss their episode and tune in on the day of its premiere, however after its premiere he ordered his online followers to boycott the episode claiming that their characters were not in the episode and that the creators of the series betrayed the fans.
