"Way of the Dee Dee" is the first part of the tenth episode in the first season of Dexter's Laboratory.

Plot[]

Dee Dee teaches Dexter how to live carefree instead of being lonely and purely focused on science.

Why It Rocks[]

  1. Depending on your view, Dexter calling Dee Dee "stupid" can be somewhat justified, but the things Dee Dee says to Dexter are even more true.
  2. Watching the montage of Dexter living carefree, or the "Way of the Dee Dee" was nice and relaxing to watch Dexter taking a break from his laboratory.
  3. Dexter managing to jump over all the objects is very impressive, along with him and Dee Dee imitating their favorite animals.
  4. Dee Dee is more likable and carefree here, as her explanations to Dexter at the start are understandable and justified, and tries to make Dexter carefree instead of a laboratory person and even stops him when he destroys his own lab.
  5. "Heck yeah, I'm a triceratops on a balanced buttercup with spinning wheels, baby!" - Carefree Dexter.

Bad Qualities[]

  1. Depending on your view, Dexter calling Dee Dee "stupid" is also a bit mean-spirited as she only messes up one invention (but even that was accidental).
  2. Mediocre Ending: When Dexter passed Dee Dee's carefree excersises, he destroys his own laboratory to the point where Dee Dee actually tells him to stop. And it ends with Dexter working in his lab without fixing it first.

Reception[]

  • It holds a rating of 7.5/10 on IMDB.
